Values Education
Skills for healthy, creative relationships
Building character through Values Education
At Green Island School we use our Family Group time to introduce the value
we are focusing on for the term. At each
Friday assembly the hosting class share what the value means to them. The value is
emphasised throughout the school and children receive positive reinforcement
when teachers observe the value in action. A values trophy is presented at each
assembly. As a new value
is introduced, past values are revised. A positive outcome is when we see
children taking responsibility for themselves, their own
behaviour and using
the values learned.
