E-Learning

In 2011, we successfully applied for a grant from the Community Trust of Otago, to purchase innovative IT for our school. Our fabulous FOTS raised half the funds through fundraising efforts involving our whole school community. We have purchased two Interactive Boards one in the junior school and one for the senior school, as well as two pods of 10 netbooks, to be used throughout the school. All desktop monitors have been updated to LCD, and the hard drives are in a cycle of updates. This makes a fantastic addition to our E-Learning hardware.

Green Island School classes are equipped with access to computers,  internet with net safety, digital cameras, Flip-Mino videos, data projectors and screens. Classes also have access to school resources such as digital microphones, microscope, animation camera and Inter Write tablets.
